Review : Cirque Du Freak: The vampire’s Assistant

This Film directed by Paul Weitz based on Darren Shan series. This film tell about Vampire and Vampaneze. There also a freak cirque that many freak people on it. Now let’s take a look the movie’s review.

This movie tell us about Darren Shan (Cris Massoglia) and his best friend Steve (Josh hutcherson) . Darren is perfect boy, he always get perfect score at his school and loved by his family and his friend. Their live change when they attending a circus, a freak circus. In that circus they meet with a vampire, Larten Crepsley (John C Reilly). And oh Steve was obsess with vampire and in other hand Darren was obsess with spider.

When the circus over, Darren stole Crepsley ‘s spider and he surprise when his best friend, Steve come in to the Crepsley’s room and ask him to change himself into a vampire. But Crepsley refuse and steve get angry and tell Crepsley that he’ll hunt him ‘till he die. Crepsley noticed that someone stole his spider. Darren panic and run away and meet Mr. Tiny (Michael Cerveris).

Darren bring the spider (Madam Octa) to his school and the spider bite Steve. Crepsley only one have the Antidote. Crepsley will give the antidote exchange  Darren become his assistant a half vampire and stay him away from Mr. Tiny.  Darren agree with that and become a half vampire.

The quality of the sound it seem quite balance. The sound fit with the freakness of the cirque and little creepy. It’s good combination with the animation which very imaginative.  About the characterization, this film was supported by best actors and actresses, such as Josh hutcherson, John C. Relly, Ken Watanabe, and Salma Hayek. The were able to display their best performances. However, this film is perfect but not cover all of the story line.

To sum up, despite of the weakness this film is very enjoyable to watch.
